Imagination recognised for work for Social Justice and Racial Equity at the Innovation SABRE Awards

16 March 2022

Imagination is honoured to be recognised alongside the Detroit Youth Choir and Yessian Music with a Gold Award win for ‘Glory’ in the Best Public Service: Social Justice / Racial Equity / #BlackLivesMatter category. ‘Glory’ also came 3rd for Best in Show.

Alistair Wilson, Managing Director of Imagination Detroit said; “We chose to create the new version of John Legend and Common’s song ‘Glory’ pro bono to give the young people of the Detroit Youth Choir a platform to share their voice in the call for social justice and racial equity following the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor. The song inspired millions across America, including President Biden, Vice President Harris, John Legend, Common and David Oyelowo and became an anthem in the fight to create a more just, more equitable world.”
